 Lypo C and inflammed liver
I'm looking for help for my good friend who has an inflamed liver.
I gave him Lypo-C and he just called saying that he took 1 package yesterday and felt bad all day, with the taste stuck in his mouth for the whole day. I remember the first time I took it and how the flavor was not the most agreeable to me. Now, I gently squeeze the Lypo-C out of the envelope into a small amount of water and just swallow it whole without stirring it into the water. That works fine for me now.
Does anyone have any experience with Lypo-C and liver problems?
I mean, could the Lypo-C be difficult to digest or absorb because of the situation in the liver?
My friend has done all kinds of tests, but the doctors still don't know what the problem is.
Thank you for any help or guidance.

Re: Lypo C and inflammed liver
Yes - empty Lypo-C into water and gulp. No taste.
I would suggest not only high vitamin C for any liver inflammation - but Lypo-GSH. I speculate that most serious liver damage is because glutathione is depleted in liver cells. Wise and safe to try to increase, and only vitamin C and liposomal GSH are known or may increase intracellular GSH.
Another important (and safe) liver supplement is milk thistle (silymarin).

Re: Lypo C and inflammed liver
Thank you Owen, for the input. I'll pass this on to my friend.
Since I live in Brazil, it's not so easy to get the products here. But are there any special considerations about what milk thistle to use?
Also, would it make any difference taking ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate?
Thanks for the help.
