Shouldn't liposomal be sodium ascorbate instead of AA?

Johnwen, Ascorbyl Palmitate is a very interesting liposomal idea.

As far as "adrenal insufficiency" - thanks as this is what I believe I am facing - why cortisol (prednizone) completely resolves my RA symptoms. Taking adrenal extracts, and trying to slowly cut back on prednizone. (My Rheumatoligist is trying to get me on the standard RA drugs - and off prednizone, but I don't like the immune suppressing aspects. Apparently lots of misinformation, as all my docs say "prednizone" immune suppressing too?!? How could it be any more suppressing than cortisol itself??)

I don't know if ascorbyl palmitate would work well as a liposomal agent as it is amphipathic ... just like PC (phosphatidyl choline). I'm just not sure how that would work out ... typically you need the center of the MLV to be either a purely hydrophobic or hydrophylic molecule. Perhaps it could be incorporated into the PC matrix of the MLV though. Very interesting food for thought. I don't know how stable it is, or it's size relative to the PC molecule, but if it's compatible enough it might stabilize the liposome's shelf life ... which would be pretty awesome, but I suspect that it could only make it into the bloodstream as parts of layers within an MLV, rather than the payload, meaning that it's concentration would be relatively low compared to other liposomal solutions.

phosphatidylserine is really good at suppressing cortisol. I used to take ps100 but it gets kind of pricey to take 3 pills of it a day.

I believe I have the opposite problem. My adrenals are exhausted and I am NOT producing cortisol (otherwise, why would taking 8 mg of a cortisol analog (e.g. methyl prednisolone) completely eliminate my symptoms?)

I believe that I have a more complete understanding of the role of cortisol, that it modulates the normal immune response after an injury, and that without it - a person will suffer the ravages of an over active immune system!
