Does Vitamin C Help Diabetes?
Quote:
Hi
As I'm sure you know Heart Disease is huge with Diabetes. One of my racquetball friends just died on the court. I have doubt it was Heart attack. Diabetes is a small blood vessel disease. well that's what I hear the Dr's say a lot.
How does the Cardio_C help us. Will it help the small vesells too? ED and all the other???
I have a New Naturopath Dr. and he wanted me to look at your web site. I had seen your site before and found it very interesting. There are so many Scams out there it's just hard to believe what your saying is true if you know what I mean??? I watch Dr. Oz and searched his site for Pauling Therapy and got nothing. I trust the CNN Dr and have never heard of him say anything about this. I searched Dr. Weil whom I also trust and he has nothing. I did find you on
Dr. Mercola's site.
I'm hoping when I go back Naturopath Dr. Tuesday he'll have some Concrete evidence that this works.
If this is true it should be all over the news a lot wouldn't you agree? They talk about natural supplements that work.
Since I'm a Diabetic since 23 yrs old I've been followed by Dr's. I've taken statins to prevent ever having high cholesterol, also taken 2 baby aspirins. I don't have heart issues that are known. These meds are taken to prevent. I'm sure now if I wasn't taking the statins my Cholesterol would be high now. I'm 53 yrs old. My good cholesterol is over 70 ever since I've been taking Reservertrol and my bad is below 100.
I appreciate anything you can say and send. I hope your product does what it says.
Thanks Jim
Maybe I missed it. What Type of diabetes do you have? (It doesn't matter all that much as vitamin C has been found to be good for both types.)
I also don't remember you telling me how much vitamin C you already supplement?
As far as expecting to find this on a regular news channel, it won't happen. Any person who has or would try to bring this to the public's attention would not be in front of the camera long. Way too much money made on drugs. But that is another story.. An entire book. But this is one reason the majority of people don't believe it.
I am not sure what your question really is. For us to comment on your case, we'd need to know what medications you are on (I infer statins). And any supplements you now take.
Diabetes adds a complication in that glucose and vitamin C are similar molecules and they compete for entry into cells through the membrane (insulin mediatd transport) so high glucose in the blood can crowd out vitamin C from entering cells, which is another argument to take higher amounts.
I now believe that true liposomal encapsulated vitamin C may be ideal for diabetics, e.g. Lypo-C from livonlabs.com. In theory this form of vitamin C should not compete with glucose
in the blood.
